Mumbai, Sep 29 (PTI) The Association of Technical Market Analysts (ATMA), a not-for-profit umbrella body of the market analysts in the country, announced its formal launch, in association with the New York-based Market Technicians Association here today. The ATMA will train capital market analysts to improve their technical and analytical skills so that they can carry out their jobs more effectively and explain why the market has behaved in a particular manner on any given day.
That apart, the body will facilitate global certification in technical analysis as well. Launching the body as also an e-library at the Bombay Stock Exchange, ATMA president Sushil Kedia said, "we are happy to have reached a point at our inauguration that our body of knowledge called technical analysis will now be available to every professional, irrespective of how close or far they are in several key formats. We can reach every Indian and every Indian can reach us now." "The association aims to be the most credible facilitator of technical analysis education, awareness building and highest standards of professional conduct and ethics," he further said. The formal launch of the ATMA assumes importance as it has been getting requests and calls for learning materials from small towns like Kozhikode, Dibrugrah or Indore. Since the books and study materials on the market analysis are very costly and difficult to collect, the ATMA has also a launched an e-library to help the members with the study material. ATMA is registered under the Societies Registration Act of 1860 as well as under the Bombay Public Trusts Act of 1950.PTI BEN VKV |
